Really nice fenders. Great coverage. Nice and firm. They're easy to adjust (and they have a good degree of adjustment) and they don't rattle once you have them adjusted.
My gripes are about the installation hardware. The fenders come with everything you need if you don't need to do too much improvisation.
But my chainstay bridge eyelet doesn't go all the way through (and maybe the seatstay bridge, too... I don't recall) so I had to use the hardware a bit differently than intended and I ran out of the short bolts that I needed, and had to use a hacksaw to shorten one of the longer ones.
And my brake calipers were also in the way, a bit. PDW helpfully includes spacers so you can bump the stays out a bit to avoid them, but I didn't have enough bolts of the right size to make them all work.
In the end I got everything working but I wish it came with a bit more hardware to make improvising a bit easier.
Now that they're installed, everything is great. Also, the installation instructions were quite good. I also loved the dogs on bikes on the box.

As usual, service and products are excellent.
These Full Metal Fenders are THE Perfect Choice for my Trek FX3, (2022 Model, Gen. 3); the 700c X 45mm are a precise fit. This fender kit has EXCEEDED my expectations: 1.) they’re, absolutely, silent; NO vibration, or noise, of ANY kind; 2.) the weight, which feels LESS than 1/4 lb. , is NEGLIGIBLE, ([!], so much so that anyone obsessing over “extra weight” would be missing-out on a superior accessory for the full-road/gravel protection of one’s bicycle investment; AND, one’s self); 3.) the color perfectly matches my bike, ([!], as if PDW obtained The Trek Color Code and painted the fenders to match) ! My bike performs, with this fender kit, EXACTLY as it does without them ! I can’t ask for more. Extremely WELL done PDW !

Overall, happy with them on an SL8 Roubaix. Very solid. I had to use the extra long hanger on the rear. The Roubaix has a threaded hole in the rear of the fork, not a through hole, so the front fender is slightly rotated to the rear, but still seems ok.

I’ve had these fenders for a year and they are working great! The metal is still not scratched, the paint looks great, and I’ve had no reason to take them off since I love the look of them.

I guess from my time living in the Rose City, a bike doesn't seem fully dressed without fenders. These fenders really make this old girl! Over the years, I've put on a fair number of bike fenders and it can be a fiddly and frustrating process, but these full metal PDX Design fenders go on easy. They come with a full set of hardware and a nice little instruction booklet. as I’ve come to expect from Portland DesignWorks, all of the packaging, was recyclable. 45 fenders easily cover 35C tires. Fender seem very rigid, securely mounted, and are rattle free. I’m extremely pleased, as always, with my purchase,

Great fenders, been using them for over 10 years!

First off, PDW answered my email question thoroughly and timely before I ordered, so that's awesome. UPS did their best to damage the fenders during shipping thanks to big rips/tears on both sides of the box, but the fenders arrived undamaged and all pieces accounted for.
The hardware sent with these fenders will probably work with 99% of the bikes out there but I did have to make two trips to the hardware store for some bolts and spacers (I didn't want to use zipties at the bottom of the rear fender as per the manual and the bar on my bike where the bracket on the rear fender attaches is a bit different than normal bikes so I needed a different bolt there too). Anyone who thinks they're going to get these and "quick throw them on" is in for a surprise. I scoffed at the instructions saying "time and patience" but turns out PDW knew fenders can be a pain to install and gave me warning in advance.
Once on the fenders looked good. Then I got down to fine tuning them (that whole patience thing) and now they look great. The matte black is a great look. I'm very happy with the appearance of the fenders. I do still have to trim the super long bolt on the front fender yet though.
Style is important, but function is even more important. I've gotten the chance to take the bike out on wet roads a few times now and I'm very pleased. The fenders keep the water off me and they are silent...no rattles at all (hopefully that continues). My tires are 700x35 and the coverage is great. These are classy-looking metal fenders that work well.

I love these fenders. They look amazing, are easy to install, and come with the hardware you need. My only gripe is the length of the front fender: I wish it was 10 cm longer in the front so it would extend as far forward as my rando rack.

Love these. Installed in my living room in about 20 min. Clean and functional. Shown in my All-City Macho King

I put a set of these on my new touring bike today. They are nice and my bike looks really good. I'm glad I didn't cheap out with some mass produced plastic junk.

I work on bikes and sell custom bikes for a living. The PDW "full metal" fender sets are a phenominal value. While they price slightly higher than some brands, they have features that easily make up for the difference:
-Mudflaps, boy im tired of riveting scraps of waterbottles to peoples fenders.
-Hardware, they come with all the hardware and its nice stuff, the additional die cut "rattle free" adhesive patches are a nice touch, clearly PDW has struggled with fender foibles in their time as cyclists and mechanics.
-Finish, the finishes look great and are durable. They compliment all bikes.
-Full coverage for real riders, they are long but not so long that you cant roll down a tall curb without wrecking your fancy fenders.
-That quick release attachment.. at first i didnt like the look, because it was different, but its safe, and far more secure than the stainless p clips that certain other metal fender makers use. And certainly better than the solution certain plastic or composite fender manufacturers use. Theres nothing worse than clipping the bottom of your front fender on a tall curb or stair and yanking the fender stays out of those miserable p clips and then getting on your hands and knees with an awful multi tool to loosen your fender hardware enough to reinsert the stays. or worse yet you break one of the quick release plastic doodads that come on most plastic fenders. Its always wet and im always late for work when that happens and PDW has a real solution, just make sure your road tool kit has the tiny sized allen key for the fittings.
-installation, these install as fast or faster than most plastic fenders (that arent preassembled) and they go on to a bike 100%+ faster than undrilled metal fenders from other companies.
They were clearly developed by people sensitive to bicycle professionals and cyclists alike.

Fenders were an absolute most for my commuter, but I spent a long time postponing the purchase not wanting to deal with the usual bulky, ugly, and clumsy options.
Fortunately PFW's Full Metal Fenders are none of those things! They look great, feel study, and ride silently. The hardest part was picking the color. I purchased mine with the $5 disc brake kit for my Trek FX2 and had no problems with install.

Installed the City Size on my wife's Co-Motion Klatch tonight. Great installation instructions and video. The best thing is the adjustability of these fenders. You can dial them in within the millimeter of where you want them.
Nice work PDW. Appreciate the quality product. Now, it's a nice day to ride no matter the weather.

Never thought I could be excited about a set of fenders but these things are lovely. High quality, look great on the bike and most important for me - EASY to fit. No rattles so far.
Attached them to my Kona Rove ST with 36mm tyres and they fit fine. Looking forward to testing them in anger during the wet British weather.

I've been rocking the "road" version of these on my race bike the past two rainy seasons. I love them! I just got the "city" version and I can't wait to put them on my commuter! This is an excellent fender that will keep you, and your buddy drafting behind you dry.

I bought a set of the city fenders for my commuter belt drive bicycle. First off, they look amazing and match the paint job on my bike. They are also made of Aluminum and have quality hardware included (not cheap steel screws that will rust after a day in the rain).
Good fenders should keep you dry in the rain. Period. On a commuter bike, an extra pound of fenders is negligible considering that a water bottle weighs more than that. These fenders extend very far down on the front wheel to keep any water from hitting you. The front wheel is where most companies skimp and make their fenders short, which doesn't stop water from shooting up and hitting you. These fenders go very close to the ground, which is a good thing. They also have large mudflaps, which stop even more water. The rear fender is a common length size and will protect you and your buddies behind you from getting mud stripes down your back.

I have tried various fenders on a variety of bikes over the years (more than 40 riding) and these by far are the best. Yes they take a little care and planning in fitting them, but if you take your time, double check everything, they fit very well. My bike is custom made with long chainstays and curved seatstays, no problems. I did need to get the long stays and the spacers as my bike has 700X38C tires and runs disk brakes. Again no trouble with installation (I used small strips of double sided foam tape to protect the fenders and frame where they touched).
Riding with them, they are rock solid with no discernible movement and they are silent. Plastic fenders shake and rattle which gets annoying very quickly, they also work themselves loose with the vibration, not these fenders.Excellent coverage due to a good low profile means splashes and spray are very well contained. Do yourself a favour and spend the cash on these, you will not regret it.
