For those of you who were in Portland back in August for the MADE show’s third year, you were probably sweating as much as the rest of us in the triple-digit temps. That didn’t stop us from having a great time handing out fizzy water and hanging out with everyone who stopped by. Thanks to everyone who kept the vibes as high as the temperatures!

Cases of Polar seltzer water in a bicycle basket

For our display this year, we asked the question:

How many bottle cages can we show off on one bike?

Ira Ryan provided the (broken) frame and fork, PDW's Mollie drilled the holes and brazed on fourteen sets of water bottle mounts, and our bike show art project was born. Including the two bottle cage mounts from Ira’s original build, there were sixteen bottle cages on the frame and fork. We added a Wee Sip and Swigamajig to the handlebars, and a Twinsies Dual Bottle Cage Holder held two more cages behind the saddle.

Inspired by the splatter-paint style of 90’s mountain bikes, Ruckus Composites took our design and knocked it out of the park in their paint booth.

We also had a great time walking around to see the rest of the show, checking in on our old friends and meeting a few new ones.

Local Portland framebuilders Fiddlehead Cycles and Buendia Bicycles both used our Full Metal Fenders and a few other snazzy bits in their bike builds.

Also spotted around the show: A Timber to Town ZigZag basket on a Buendia Bicycle, a Robut Dynamo headlight, and a Rattlesnek Cage that goes perfectly with Mischief Bicycle's homage to New Mexico paint scheme.
