Easy to install on an REI e1.2. Like others have said, I didn’t have to take off the rear tire. Just took off both of the stays on the rear fender, deflated the tire, took off the bolt where the fender meets the frame, put the fender in place, put the stays back in place, tightened, adjusted and re-inflated the tire. Looks great and functions well so far! Purchased at REI.

My wife and I both have the REI COOP e1.2’s and I’ve been looking for fenders for a while. Install was pretty straight forward, I didn’t take off the wheels, or deflate the rear tire, (however I did use a hacksaw on a 4mm Allen wrench so I could remove the bolt,) I then took the rear fender to the belt sander to shave off about a quarter inch of material to allow the bolt to go through the opposite side.
I used the longer 4mm bolts and the spacer with a washer to attach the rear wheel stays in the factory bolt hole.
Install on the first bike took about 35 minutes while I figured everything out , second bike took about 15 minutes.
They look awesome and are very sturdy. And at $65 for a set it feels like a bargain.

Easy install for a REI Co-op e1.2 electric bike. Contrary to the video instructions, you do not need to remove the wheels for installation. I used dental floss to feed the 30mm bolt into the front fork and deflated the rear tire to install the rear fender. Only tools used were 3 and 4mm hex wrenches and some dental floss.

Fits REI Co-op 1.2 ebike almost perfectly. Another review mentioned needing a longer M5 board for the front fender, but I was able to use the shorter one supplied

You will have to take some extra steps to get the front fender mounted.
- I replaced my front tire with a 2.0x2.15 tire to create enough spacing for the fender and the tire.
- I had to trim down the metal prongs on the front fender to have them come close to the fork attachment
- I ordered a fork adapter from SKS to get them attached
- Finally, I threw some zip-ties on the top to complete the job. But, there is a screw mount on the fork that you can secure onto the fender.
They look pretty fire after the job was complete! Being from the PNW I needed good coverage for my winter commutes to work and school and what I had before was not cutting it, I am glad I got these to work.
Do you want to get your hands dirty, suffer from misery, risk cutting the cables to short rendering your fender useless, feel good after a hard install, wait days for each piece you need to get for your "special" install? DIY. If not, please go into a bike shop that is willing to get this installed for you, I think I might do that next time, but I am happy that I made it work.

Is it worth paying the fee for installation after they were installed? in my opinion, yes. Why? Because there is one screw in the back wheel that I prefer to have pointing away from the wheel instead towards the wheel. Some of the reviews talk about it and they say they do not care about having the screw pointing towards the wheel. I prefer not pointing towards the wheel. To have the screw pointing away from the wheel, you need to unmount the back wheel - unless you have a special allen key so low profile that you can use it between the fender and the wheel. I did not want to unmount the back wheel because that is where the motor is and did not want to deal with that stuff. So, took it to REI. Worth it? still a yes.
Do the fenders work? Yup. I have been using them for a couple of months now in Denver and after going through puddles my pants and sweatshirt are still dry and unstained.
NOTE: the little screws to adjust the length of the metal support beams are great! after REI installed the fenders I was not happy with the way they aligned in reference to the wheel. The only thing I needed to do was to loosen those little screws and adjust the length of the beams to my desired OCD alignment.

These fenders fit the e1.1 without any real issues. I had the local REI bike shop put them on, and am very pleased. I now feel more comfortable riding in the rain and other questionable weather. PDW offers a great product. Kansas...

Definitely a tough install (2 hours or so) but was able to get them on my e1.2 and they look great.
Followed Jonathan R's advice to get them on without removing tires. Front tire was fairly straightforward. Ultimately might have just been easier to remove the rear tire but not sure. Peter E. claims 80mm bolt required but this isn't true - just need to fish the bolt up through stem and Allen key it from the opposite hole (though 80mm bolt through both holes probably would make the install easier).
Skip step 5 in the instructions for e1.2. Also I didn't need to loosen or retighten stay tabs in steps 3 and 7. I put rearmost fender stay on the outside of the other stay in step 7 (instructions appear to depict it on the inside).
Didn't *need* bike mechanic stand due to small ground clearance provided by kick stand, but certainly would have made things easier.

Just installed these last night on my e1.2 and they look great. I was even able to install them without removing the wheels. The front wheel was easy and the instructions shouldn't even recommend removing it. Just fish the bolt up into the fork and you are good to go.
The rear was a little more challenging but I got it done. I completely deflated the rear tire and then used an allen wrench to loosen the attachment bolt. Then I used a pliers to fully unscrew and remove the bolt. I installed the rear fender and used the same bolt to reattach. I worked it in with my fingers and pliers most of the way and finally used the allen wrench to snug it up.

These work great on my REI CO-OP Generation e1.2, the same bike modeling these fenders on PDW’s website. However, you need a M5 x 80mm bolt, that didn’t ship with the set, to mount the front fender to the top of the fork to complete the install.
