Lucky Cat Kit

Built up a Wabi SS and needed something special, wanted a Japanese theme. And, since mountain bikers are dogs, and road bikers are cats (as someone once said), what better than this? Absolutely beautiful & rock-solid. Easy to find - that wide opening for the bottle means I almost never glance down to seat the bottle. Bottle's great, too. Solid seal with the top on tight & nipple closed - doesn't drip all down the frame. Nipple's easy to open between the teeth and has great flow. The only drawback: the single curve-over arm can widen out over the long-term. A very gentle squeeze will tighten it right back up. And we're talking long term - in 3200 miles or so, I've had to do it twice, and only slightly. The finish & graphics have held up remarkably well; the bottle's rubbed a couple spots thin, and dulled the gloss here and there, but it's otherwise in terrific shape. As you can tell, I simply love this cage.

Thes might not be the best or lightest bottle cages, but they are in the image of a Maneki Neko, or Lucky Cat in japanese. And that´s a great thing. Maneki Neko brings luck, and everyone needs some luck. The cages are also very good looking. Very good for bicycles with small frames or if you use bags hanging from the top tube or have lack of space due to suspension, because you can grab the bottle from the side and not from the top. The metal is quite soft so will bend, but so will every bottle cage at some time. Extra bonus is that these are so cool that no one will think you are into racing. And if you´re racing, these cages will intimidate your competition.
